I love hearing adoption stories. Each story is different, but you can see God’s hand in each of them. Meet my lovely friend, Robin. I met Robin through our kids Classical Conversations Community. She is bubbly, outgoing, and very witty. She encourages everyone, is always smiling, and is remarkable with kids! She has a very unique story, that could happen to anyone. Her story started when she and her husband were about to be empty nesters. They were moving into a different stage of life and adoption was not in their plan. Although, God had a different route prepared and thought-out for them! She learned about how her nephew was recently put in foster care and was a challenge. The social worker said, “This child will not be adopted if he stays in the system. He will go from foster home to foster home.” Robin and her husband choose to adopt him. They helped create a family this little boy desperately needed and God desired. This sweet boy is not the same little child they once knew. God has made so many changes in him and only God could do what he has done for his little boy. God does not waver. He had a plan for Sabastian with chosen parents and a family. Listen to her story.
